How to Maintain Customer Records
First of all to maintain the customer records we
will open the Peachtree program.
After opening the program we will click on the
maintain button as circle in the above diagram.
After clicking on this, this menu will open and in
this menu we will click on the first option which is “Customer/Prospects”.
After clicking on this the above window will open.
In this window at point A we will write the customer id and at point B customer
name.
On clicking on the general the above window will
open. In this window we will write the contact and address telephone numbers
fax email and website addresses.
On clicking the sales defaults the above window will open in this window the
circled area is important customer name and address will not be save without
entering the General Ledger Sales Account. Open P.O. num is for the purchase
order.
On clicking the payment default the above window
will open.
On clicking the customer default the above window
will open. In this window at num 1we can write the name and address of the
other person to whom we want to contact as the secondary contact.
On clicking on the History the above window will
open in this window we can check the past data which we want to check.
Go to maintain menu at default information and then
select the customer then the following window will open.
In this window we can select and compose the
payments terms and discounts which we give to the customer on the advance
payment of cash etc.
On pressing on the accounting Aging the above window
will open. In this window we can write the time period of the payment the invoice date and due dates.
On pressing the custom field tab the above window
will open in this window we can write fields labels which we want to be in the
custom field. We can also incease and decreace the numbers of fields by
clicking on the circled area.
In this window we can write the interest rates and
the amount to which it is charge and the limit of amount and the interest rate
for the exceeding amount and to print it
as a waning message by clicking on the circled point.
